Tutorial Of Starting Your Podcast
This tutorial should be easy to follow. When we are creating your podcast we will be using a software with a login you should have been given. The software you will want to download in APP format is anchor.fm you can download this to your phone or laptop. This software is what we will use to create our podcast.
RULES OF CREATING YOUR PODCAST:
- Keep Profanity to a Minimum, we realize we are all truckers and cussing is second nature. Just please try to keep it PG-13.
- Remember by having a Podcast with us at Truckers Podcast Network you are reflection of all of us. So what you say directly reflects on the rest of the podcasters.
- We will NOT tolerate berating, bulling or making fun of anyone or any other organization.
HOW TO FORMAT YOUR PODCAST:
Your podcast can be as long or as short as you want. That is the beauty of a podcast. Usually the best podcast are between 20-40 minutes in length. When you record EACH week you will need to do a Intro. Your Intro should be saved as “Intro-DATE” and your introduction should be five minutes or less. At the end of your introduction you will want to Segway into a commercial, something like:
“We will back in just a few minutes after this quick word from our sponsors”
For the Main part of your podcast you will want to create this and keep it around 10-20 minutes long. I am including links here to two of my current podcast that you can listen to get an idea of what a podcast sounds like.
Creating Your Podcast
You will have tutorials available to you in both APP format for your phone and or laptop or computer format. First you will want to go here if you are using a laptop and login to your dashboard here:
